The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov announced that in Ukraine, 1.872 million infections of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded, an increase over the day, April 12, – 11.6 thousand, an increase of almost one and a half times against the figure the day before. The high mortality rate per day is 457. At the same time, there are more people who have recovered per day than patients who have recovered.

Over the past 24hrs, coronavirus infections were detected in 11,680 people in Ukraine, including 501 children and 366 health workers. In addition, 457 deaths were recorded, 14,019 patients recovered, and 2,334 people with suspected or diagnosed COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals.
For the first time in almost two months, the number of those who recovered in a day exceeded the number of patients. The daily incidence of COVID-19 remains high.
Most new infections were found in Kyiv (1,503), Kharkiv (904), Lviv (838), Kyiv (818), and Odesa (795) oblasts.
In total, 1,872,785 people fell ill during the pandemic in Ukraine, of whom 1,430,234 recovered and 37,758 died.
Coronavirus test in Ukraine:
Over the past 24hrs, 83,975 tests for coronavirus were performed in Ukraine (including PCR – 38,684, ELISA – 19,284, tests with rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 26,007).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine, 8,716,400 PCR tests were performed.
Coronavirus vaccination:
A coronavirus vaccination campaign has been underway in Ukraine since February 24. Since then, 388,401 people have been vaccinated.
For the past 24hrs, on April 12, 10,135 people were vaccinated.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
