A Ukrainian-language audio guide has opened at the Palace of Versailles, the former residence of the French kings and one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – April 17, 2021 – Ukraine society and culture
“We have worked hard for nine months so that after the end of the quarantine restrictions, all interested visitors to the Palace of Versailles can hear the tour in Ukrainian. This is our fourteenth Ukrainian-language audio guide, and we plan to launch at least seven more audio guides by the end of the year,” said First Lady; Olena Zelenska.
She personally took part in the launch of the audio guide in Ukrainian. Translator Iryna Dmytryshyn and dubbing actors Yuriy Soskov and Maryna Loktionova worked on the audio guide.
Ukrainian-language audio guides in the world:
The Colosseum in Rome, the National Museum in Warsaw, the Vienna Museum of Art History, the Albertina Art Gallery, and others already speak Ukrainian as part of the project to introduce Ukrainian-language audio guides in the world’s most famous museums.
It is planned to expand the list of Ukrainian-language audio guides by launching them in the Tower of London, the National Museum of Natural History in Berlin, the Vatican Museum Complex, the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Complex, and the Igor Savitsky State Museum of Art in Uzbekistan.
