The spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which will take place in a hybrid format, will start on Monday, April 19, in Strasbourg, France. The agenda of the session is published on the PACE website.

Thus, at the spring session, in particular, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and State Minister for Europe of the German Foreign Ministry Michael Roth are scheduled to speak. There will also be speeches by the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli, the President of the Republic of Moldova Maya Sandu, and the Secretary-General of the organization Maria Pejcinovic-Buric.
Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatović is also expected to present his annual report for 2020.
Thus, the PACE received requests for a debate on the arrest and detention of Alexei Navalny, as well as ongoing discussions on COVID passports or certificates and the Russian threat.
The session will end on April 22.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation Maria Mezentseva told about preparation for the April session of PACE.
At the winter sitting, the PACE did not support the debate on Crimea but instead supported two other topics, one of which was the situation with Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
