Ukrainians received a royal pardon on the occasion of the National Day of Thailand. Cooperation with the Thai ombudsman also contributed.
What a pardon they gave to Ukrainians
Two prisoners had their sentences reduced by one-sixth, but without taking into account the time spent in prison, and another prisoner by half.
In addition, 6 Ukrainians had their terms reduced and released from further punishment.
That is why three of our citizens remained in Thai prisons.
I express my gratitude to King Rama X of Thailand for his high humanism and to the Chief Ombudsman of the Kingdom of Thailand, Viddhavat Rajatanun, who is helping to resolve such a difficult issue as pardon,
Denisova wrote.
