The Dutch authorities allowed the audience to be present in the hall during the international song contest “Eurovision”, which will be held in May in Rotterdam.

“We welcome the decision of the Dutch government and the opportunity to invite fans to join the Eurovision Song Contest in May,” the statement said.
According to the organizers on the website of the competition, in the coming weeks, it will be announced how it is planned to allow spectators to the event.
All nine shows – six rehearsals, two semi-finals, and a final – can have a maximum of 3,500 spectators at a time – half of the expected number. At the same time, they must have a negative test result for coronavirus.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled for May 18-22 in Rotterdam. The Netherlands won the right to lead the competition after the victory of its performer Duncan Lawrence at Eurovision in 2019.
This year, Ukraine will be represented at the event by the band Go_A with the song “SHUM”.
Eurovision is an annual song contest among the countries of the European Union. The competition has been held annually since 1956 and is one of the most popular non-sporting events in the world with an audience of up to 600 million spectators.
Australia has been participating in the competition since 2015.
