In Ukraine, 2.165 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, May 18, – 5.1 thousand, which is more than the day before. The number of fatalities per day is slightly less than the day before – 227. This was reported by the data verified by the Ministry of Health of the project “Coronavirus_info”.

In the past 24hrs, 5,138 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Ukraine over the past 24 hours. Among the new patients – 260 children and 187 nurses. Also, 17,102 patients recovered and 227 died from complications. 2,269 people were admitted to hospitals with suspected or confirmed cases.
The number of those who recovered in a day far exceeded the number of patients. This trend is observed for more than three weeks.
Most new cases were found in Kharkiv (567), Dnipropetrovsk (457), Donetsk (336), and Kyiv (336) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (477).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,165,233 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Ukraine, of which 1,899,446 people have recovered and 48,696 have died from complications. Today ill: 217 091 – 12 191 people less than last day.
According to Worldometers, 3,481,661 people worldwide have died from the COVID-19 coronavirus. Over the past 24hrs, 13,960 people died from complications of the disease (2,134 of them in Europe).
Ukraine ranks 16th in the world in terms of the total number of cases and 9th in terms of mortality (2nd place in Europe).
