Iryna Vereshchuk, a People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People faction and a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, commented on two urgent bills submitted by the President to the Verkhovna Rada on one of the TV channels. The first concerns the foundations of national resistance, the second – the increase in the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“As I understand it, this is a slightly modified, revised, broader law on territorial defense. I did not see the “body”, I did not see what the President is proposing today, I would very much like to see and get acquainted because we will be a profile committee that will consider, “she commented on the President’s bill on the foundations of national resistance.
The second bill concerns the increase in the staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 250,000 to 270,000, Vereshchuk said.
“I understand that there is obviously a need, due to the aggressive policy of the Kremlin in recent months, and of course I support such a bill, I think it will find 226 votes, there will be no problems with this,” – summed up the people’s deputy.
Earlier, Vereshchuk said that the country’s defense capabilities directly depend on the provision of housing for servicemen.
