This was stated in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine by Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the OP on anti-crisis communications, according to the material “Word to the people. Will Ukrainians be able to govern the country through referendums. “
At a recent press conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the main issue that should be put to a referendum is the situation in Donbas. However, according to Podolyak, this does not mean that the CADLO issue will be one of the first topics put up for a nationwide vote.
“Ukraine is doing everything possible to find a diplomatic path that will ensure a real long-term peace. If an all-Ukrainian referendum can become one of the stages on this path, then it is necessary to take into account those fuses that are already fixed in the adopted law,” Podolak said.
He stated that any question for a referendum or a decision in violation of our Constitution cannot even be hypothesized.
