A volcanic eruption in Colombia forced locals to evacuate. A powerful mud volcano in the municipality of Necocli, Antioquia department, threw out a powerful pillar of ash and hot mud that flew around.

One person was injured; 150 residents were evacuated. This was reported by The Watchers.
This eruption has been the strongest since 2005. Eyewitnesses of the event managed to film the dangerous phenomenon and shared it on social networks. Numerous cracks formed on the ground of the nearby villages, houses, and roads were damaged.
The evacuated Colombians are currently temporarily housed in a school in a nearby village, and people have received humanitarian aid. Villagers are not yet able to return to their homes, as the village is located in the area of the direct impact of the volcano.
Earlier we reported that the eruption of the Sangai volcano took place on May 22 in Ecuador. A powerful active volcano ejected a huge stream of volcanic mass. The eruption reached 500-1000 m from the crater.
