“Officially: Ukraine and Hungary have mutually recognized vaccination certificates from COVID. From June 11, you can travel with domestic certificates of full vaccination. Congratulations to my colleague and friend Peter Siyyarto on the successful implementation of our agreement,” Kuleba said.
According to him, Hungary has become the first EU country to have such a decision.
Certificate of vaccination in Ukraine:
In May, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine began active work on concluding bilateral agreements on the recognition of national vaccination certificates for summer travel. In particular, Ukraine is ready to conclude such agreements with all interested countries until a single mechanism of vaccination certificates appears at the European level.
On June 9, the European Parliament finally gave the green light to the introduction of digital COVID certificates for pandemic travel. This legislation must now be approved by the EU Council, and then it will be published in the Official Journal of the EU, so that digital COVID certificates become valid and come into force on 1 July 2021.
The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleh Nemchinov stated that Ukraine will introduce digital COVID-certificates in 10-14 days after the European Union.
