The forthcoming visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington, expected in July, and the progress of reforms in our country were discussed by telephone by the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak with US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland.

“The interlocutors discussed the details of the forthcoming visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States at the invitation of US President Joe Biden,” the statement said.
It is noted that Nuland assured Ermak of “Washington’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the implementation of the Minsk agreements on a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas.”
Ermak spoke about “the implementation of reforms in Ukraine to transform it into a transparent and competitive country” and spoke about the steps to implement the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of our country.
The US Undersecretary of State reportedly “noted the importance of continuing reforms to strengthen Ukraine, including corporate governance and anti-corruption reforms, and assured the United States of its support for these efforts.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to meet with US President Joe Biden in Washington in late July.
We will add, the meeting will take place after the European tour of the president of the USA Biden during which he held a summit with the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin – before a meeting with Zelensky.
