Agrarians of the Kherson region were the first in Ukraine to start harvesting early grain crops.

“Early grain harvesting has started in the Kherson region. As of June 24, the region’s farmers have already threshed more than 3,000 tons of winter barley with an average yield of 32.5 centners per hectare,” the statement said.
According to the report, the harvest has started in the Skadovsk and Kherson districts of the region. The rest of the districts are mowing the fields and are preparing to join the harvesting campaign in the coming days.
This year the region is preparing to harvest more than 723 thousand hectares, including winter grain from an area of 613 thousand hectares.
Ukrainian farmers on June 18 completed the sowing of early spring cereals on an area of 7.5 million hectares.
