According to the agency in Bonn, cannabis will be sold in pharmacies at a price of 4.30 euros per gram (approximately 138 hryvnias).
Cannabis is grown in Germany by three companies on behalf of the Cannabis Agency at the BfArM. However, the plant’s income from abroad will continue. A total of 10.4 tons of medical cannabis is expected to be grown in Germany over four years.
The Cannabis Agency was established to control the production of cannabis for medical purposes in 2017 when Germany was allowed to use cannabis as a medicine. Since then, doctors can prescribe flowers or cannabis extract for a prescription.
In late June this year, the Health Committee supported a bill to legalize medical cannabis in Ukraine.
