The overall goal of the program is to increase and expand jobs in rural areas, especially for young people and women, and to promote the multiplier effect of positive changes in organic farming in terms of economic growth, innovation, and the environment.
The “organic” trend is becoming increasingly popular: small and medium-sized producers are increasingly taking up the cultivation of such products, and retailers are allocating entire shelves and opening departments of organic products. For the Lviv region, organic production is one of the priorities of the regional strategy. Therefore, we recommend organic operators of the Lviv region consider the possibility of participating in the new program “Organic Trade for Development in Eastern Europe (OT4D)”, – said the director of the Department of Agricultural Development of Lviv Regional State Administration Tetyana Hetman.
As part of the Organic Trade for Development in Eastern Europe (OT4D) program, a public-private partnership project competition has been announced. Projects should promote the creation of added value and jobs, the creation of public goods for the agricultural sector, the development of appropriate opportunities that will contribute to the sustainable development of organic business in Ukraine.
