From 12:00 o’clock today on highways of two areas and two big cities cameras of fixing of offenses of traffic rules (SDA) in automatic mode will start working.

According to the press service of the patrol police, such cameras will work in Zhytomyr and Kirovohrad regions, as well as in Kropyvnytskyi and Kharkiv.
Kropyvnytskyi and Kharkiv will become the second and third regional centers after Kyiv, where auto-fixing cameras will work.

The report states that these locations of auto-fixing cameras were chosen because of the significant number of speeding violations detected on them, which led to accidents and accidents with serious consequences.
When video cameras started working on the roads of Ukraine
The system of automatic photo-video recording of traffic violations in Ukraine was launched on June 1, 2020, it first worked in Kyiv and the region with a gradual spread to other regions.
In early June 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that during the year of operation of the system of automatic recording of traffic violations, the number of deaths on the roads decreased by 17%.
By 2024, it is proposed to install 550 cameras that record violations of the speed limit.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, over 1.7 million resolutions were issued during the year of the automatic fixing system operation, and fines of more than UAH 259.5 million were paid.
