Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – August 04, 2021 – Reports
Miners and local deputies from the Chervonohrad district came to the regional administration to demand payment of salaries, the arrears of which in some cases exceed 4 months. The deputy of the Chervonohrad city council Oleg Stelmakh reported about it.
It is known that miners of Lvivugol owed 228 million hryvnias. According to them, people have not received a salary since April this year. They have nothing to buy food for and cannot pay for utilities. That’s why the miners went on a protest and defended the legally earned salary. They chant “Salary!” and “Shame!”, and also beat helmets on the ground.
Protesters called for order in the coal industry and stressed that despite the president’s promises, the problem with the payment of wages has not been resolved.
We will add that in the territory of the Lviv region seven mines work, six of them are the enterprises of SE “Lvivugol”: “Renaissance”, “Forest”, “Chervonogradskaya”, “Velykomostivskaya”, “Mezhyrichanskaya” and “Stepova”.
It will be recalled that the miners’ wives and children had already gone out to protest the day before.
