The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and the Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak will hold talks in the United States today to prepare for Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Washington, the Foreign Minister announced on Facebook the day before.

Earlier, Kuleba and the head of the president’s office Andriy Yermak arrived in Washington to prepare for the first visit of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States. On Wednesday, they met with US President’s National Security Assistant Jake Sullivan.
A spokeswoman for the head of the US administration, Jennifer Psaki, previously said that Biden would receive Zelensky at the White House on August 30. The Ukrainian president stated that he expected a meaningful and fruitful meeting. The head of the presidential party “Servant of the People”, Verkhovna Rada Deputy Oleksandr Kornienko clarified that the presidents’ meeting plans to discuss the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, involve the US in the Normandy format of negotiations on the Donbas conflict, and increase US military aid.
