Japanese actor Sonny Chiba, the star of “Kill Bill”, has died from complications of COVID-19.

The death of the actor was announced by the representative of the star Timothy Bill. Chibi was 82 years old.
The martial arts actor began studying with Massa Oyama, who is considered a master of karate. He earned several black belts while under Oyama’s wing.
For the first time, he publicly demonstrated his abilities in the 1973 film The Bodyguard of Kiba.
Chibi’s special fighting style once won over the American director Quentin Tarantino, who invited the master to star in the film “True Love” (1993), in which he wrote. Later, the Japanese also played in both parts of “Kill Bill”.
Also, in 2006, he was seen on the screens in the film “Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift”, although most of the films and series in which he starred at the end of his career, were released in Japan.
Before his death, Chiba was working on another project, his spokesman said. According to him, in life, Chiba was “a modest, caring and friendly person.”
