President Volodymyr Zelensky has given new ranks to the leadership of the Armed Forces, the Security Service, and the National Police. Among them is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Valery Zaluzhny.

Thus, Zelensky conferred the rank of lieutenant general on the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Valery Zaluzhny.
In particular, new titles were awarded to:
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Serhiy Shaptala – Lieutenant General;
Colonel Maksym Myrhorodskyi, Commander of the Assault Troops of Ukraine, Brigadier General;
Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel of the Medical Service Tetyana Ostashchenko – Brigadier General;
Colonel Kirill Budanov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense;
Colonel Serhiy Kryvoruchko-Brigadier General, Head of the SBU Department in the Kherson Region;
Colonel Serhiy Dusyk, Chief of the SBU Special Operations Counter-Terrorism Center, Brigadier General;
the head of the National Police, the general of the police of the first rank of games Klimenko, the general of the police of the first rank;
Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv to Police Colonel Ivan Vyhovsky, a third-ranking police general.
Also received the rank of brigadier general :
First Deputy Director of the Service Department – Colonel Vadym Bidnenko, Head of the Civil Security Department of the Main Directorate of the National Guard;
First Deputy Director of the Personnel Department – Colonel Yuriy Posmitny, Head of the Personnel Department of the Main Directorate of the National Guard;
Colonel Valery Vavryniuk, Head of the Eastern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The day before, Zelensky raised his diplomatic rank for Foreign Minister Kuleba and a number of diplomats.
