At least 82 people have died in the United States from floods caused by Hurricane Ida.

In Louisiana, 11 more deaths were reported in Hurricane Ida and its aftermath. A total of 26 people were killed in the disaster in the state, including seven residents of a nursing home.
Four people died in the southeast and 52 in the northeast after the area was covered by the remnants of Hurricane Ida last week.
As of today, the official death toll in the United States is 82 people. As many as 71 victims were known yesterday.
Hurricane Ida on August 29 shook Louisiana like a Category 4 storm with winds of 150 miles per hour. This is one of the strongest storms since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Through the Ida, the Mississippi River changed direction, and a highway collapsed in Mississippi. As a result, seven cars fell into the pit, killing two people and injuring ten.
More than a million people were left without electricity. A curfew was imposed in New Orleans due to a lack of electricity.
Later, the remnants of Hurricane Ida reached the east coast of the United States.
