All children from one of the city’s schools, who were hospitalized a week ago on suspicion of rotavirus infection, were discharged from the Khmelnytsky Infectious Diseases Hospital.

“As of 7 a.m. on September 17, all children from the Khmelnytsky Educational Association ? 1 who were hospitalized on September 9-10 at the Khmelnytsky Infectious Diseases Hospital on suspicion of rotavirus infection have been discharged,” the agency said.
On September 8, it was reported that four students at a Khmelnytsky school had been hospitalized with a previous diagnosis of poisoning. As early as September 10, the number of victims increased to more than 90 people, most of them children.
The Ministry of Health named the cause of mass poisoning of schoolchildren in Khmelnytsky – the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus, which was found in dishes, as well as in the analysis of food workers.
