Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate.October 24,2021- Stop obstructing the OSCE mission in Donetsk – media The Russian occupation administration in Donetsk has stated that it will lift the blockade of the OSCE SMM headquarters at the Park Inn Hotel.
The so-called “mayor” of Donetsk Oleksiy Kulmzin announced this to the participants in the siege on the evening of October 23.
As it is noted, the video clip of this speech at the entrance to the hotel, where OSCE SMM is located, was published by Telegram channels in the occupied territories.
A representative of the occupation administration said that the sit-in participants “did an important job”, but that due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, they had to move to the social network.
“Hospitals are crowded. You are here in the fresh air, you adhere to the mask regime, but many interested citizens join you, and the risk of spreading increases. I suggest moving the event on the social network and closing the camp tent ”, quotes the post Kulemzin.
He also said that the OSCE mission had begun to “interact” with the militants and “carry out joint activities”. However, Radio Svoboda notes that there are no reports from the OSCE itself about any cooperation with the Russian occupation administration.
On October 13, soldiers of the combined forces operation near the town of Zolote (part of the Ukraine-controlled Luhansk region) detained Andrei Kosiak, a member of the Luhansk People’s Republic. This is a resident of occupied Alchevsk, who received a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. The so-called “LPR” claims that Kosiak was a representative of the Joint Ceasefire Monitoring and Coordination Center (JCCC) and a member of the demining team.
And then, on October 15, in occupied Donetsk, the “aggressors” surrounded the Park Inn hotel, which houses the OSCE office. The demand is the release of Kosyak. As a result, OSCE SMM has stopped working for security reasons.
OSCE Chair Anne Lind and OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid called for the mission’s ban to be rescinded.
