Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate-October 28,2021- The OSCE SMM recorded 435 ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and 20 ceasefire violations in Luhansk region on Tuesday, October 26.
“In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded 435 ceasefire violations, including 86 explosions (15 impacts, 27 airbursts and 44 undetermined),” reads the OSCE SMM daily report 252/2021 issued on October 27, 2021.
The majority of ceasefire violations occurred inside and near the disengagement area near Petrivske (non-government-controlled, 41km south of Donetsk) (see below) and in areas north of Shyrokyne (government-controlled, 100km south of Donetsk).
As in the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded 205 ceasefire violations in the area, the majority of which also occurred within and near the disengagement zone near Petrevsky and North Cheroken.
“In the Luhansk region, the SMM recorded 20 violations, including three unspecified explosions,” explains the SMM of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Most of the ceasefires also took place in areas close to the disengagement zone near Zolote (government-controlled, 60 km west of Luhansk).
In the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded three ceasefire violations in the area, all of them in the disengagement zone near Zolote.
