Among other things, the changes include the following prohibitions:
- cruel treatment or killing of pets and stray animals;
- kill animals by drowning, suffocation, use of electric current and poison;
- violation of the rules of transportation of animals, if such actions have led to bodily injury, mutilation or death of the animal;
- provide photo services with wild animals;
- give pets as prizes, awards or prizes;
- train animals in a cruel way;
- begging with animals, including homeless;
- leave the animal without the possibility of shelter indoors or in a closed car in the absence of a person, as well as at an air temperature of more than +20 ° C and less than +5 ° C;
- propaganda of animal cruelty.
- bricklaying of animals in basements;
- leave the pet tethered unattended in public places, near bus stops, shops, etc .;
- killing of temporarily isolated homeless pets;
- regulation of the number of animals by biologically sound methods and by euthanasia. Only biosterilization, shelter is allowed.
The length of the leash of the animal on a leash is also normalized – not less than 20 meters, for watch dogs – not less than 10 meters.

And the same actions committed against two or more animals, or a group of persons, or a person who during the year has already been prosecuted for the same violation – the imposition of a fine of 5100 to 8500 hryvnia or administrative arrest for up to 15 days, with confiscation of the animal, if the stay of the animal with the owner is a threat to his life or health.
