Context
On Sunday afternoon, a car exploded, presumably a taxi, which killed one person and injured another. Three men, aged 21, 26 and 29, were detained under the Counter-Terrorism Act, although the British security forces did not officially classify the incident as a terrorist attack. A hospital in Liverpool, near which the explosion erupted, has imposed a temporary ban on visiting patients.
