It is noteworthy that the program includes: talks with the NATO leadership, a meeting with the foreign ministers of Moldova and Georgia in the form of a joint tripartite, and participation in the meeting of foreign ministers of the European Union member states and the Eastern Partnership countries , Meeting of the foreign ministers of Germany, France.
“Today is a busy day in Brussels. There are eight talks ahead: meetings with NATO leaders, EU foreign ministers, Tripartite Associates and three Normandy ministers, as well as meetings of EU and Eastern Partnership foreign ministers, and talks with journalists.”
He noted that after the successful visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Washington last week, it continues to work on strengthening Ukraine’s security with European partners.
“The security situation requires so many negotiations. It is high diplomatic activity that helped reduce tensions in the spring of 2021. Security of the country and citizens, countering Russian aggression, strengthening relations with strategic partners – all these are priorities of Ukraine’s Foreign Policy Strategy,” Kuleba said.
According to him, Brussels will also talk about the further development of the Eastern Partnership on the eve of the summit on December 15.
“The full composition of the Associated Trio’s ministers will gather in Brussels. We will insist on a differentiated EU approach to the European integration of our neighbors. Those who do more and strive for more should get more,” the minister said.
Kuleba will discuss “a new stage of Russia’s hybrid aggression against Europe” with NATO leaders.
“Russia continues to destabilize the security situation along our border, in the Black Sea region and in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea. Violation of the ceasefire in Donbass, movement of troops, gas blackmail, propaganda Russia’s aggression against Europe. We are working with partners to minimize risks and counter threats from Russia, “he said.
At the end of the day, Kuleb will hold separate talks with the foreign ministers of Germany and France to intensify work in the Normandy format.
“Russia is slowing down the negotiation process by avoiding meetings. But we insist on resuming Normandy’s work without preconditions,” he said.
On October 14, Kuleba during a telephone conversation with the representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell on the eve of a meeting of the EU Council of Foreign Ministers called on the European Union to take measures to deter Russia from further aggressive actions.
