kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 29,2021- Turkey has set up a refugee city in Syria’s Idlib province where 30,000 homes have already been built and 180,000 people resettled.
“Construction has been completed in Mashhad Ruhayn, 5 kilometers from the Turkish border. 180,000 Syrian refugees have already moved to new homes,” the newspaper said.
Works on the construction and improvement of the territory are carried out with the assistance of Turkish institutions, including the Emergency Prevention and Elimination Department (AFAD) and the organization of the Turkish Red Crescent.
So far, the construction of 30,000 out of 50,000 houses has been completed. They housed 180,000 Syrians who lived in tents and camps and wanted to go to Turkey.
The new city has built schools, hospitals, playgrounds for children, places for bazaars, social areas and centers for women.
It is noted that the resettlement of refugees is being carried out, in particular, to prevent a new wave of migration to Turkey.
