The range of personal assistants available on Samsung 2020 smart TVs continues to expand. Now European users of Samsung’s new smart TVs have received Google Assistant. Last month, Google Assistant was released on Samsung 2020 smart TVs in the United States. It is now available outside the US on Samsung QLED 4K and 8K 2020 TVs, Crystal UHD, The Frame, The Serif, The Sero and The Terrace TVs. Previously, the owners of these TV models were available personal assistants Bixby from Samsung and Amazon Alexa.
Users of the above models can now use Google Assistant to voice switch channels, adjust TV volume, or control compatible smart home devices such as thermostats or lighting. You can also ask Google Assistant to show the weather forecast, play music, or launch apps. In addition, you can search for content by genre, director or actor. Google Assistant will also give you access to Google services such as search, photos, maps, and calendar on your TV.
Currently, the new functionality is available in the US, UK, France, Germany and Italy. By the end of the month, Spain, Brazil, India and South Korea will launch the service in the list of countries, later the list will expand.
