Asteroid 2000 WO107 will fly 4.3 million km from Earth
At the end of November, an asteroid with a diameter of about 510 m will fly past the Earth . NASA officially classifies such asteroids as “potentially dangerous”. Despite this status, the asteroid 2000 WO107 will fly at a distance of 4.3 million km from Earth, which is 11 times the distance from Earth to the Moon. This was reported by the NASA Center for the Study of Near-Earth Objects.
According to the report, the spectral class of asteroid 2000 WO107 indicates that it probably contains Nickel, iron and cobalt. If it really consists of these metals, the total cost of resources on this celestial body exceeds $ 15 billion.
The asteroid will be closest to the Earth on November 29 at about 07:00 Kyiv time.
According to NASA calculations, 2000 WO107, after flying past our planet, will go to Mars (approach March 21, 2021), Mercury (August 15, 2021) and Venus (April 28, 2023). He will fly to Earth again on February 10, 2024.

We will remind, the other day the space stone 2020 VT4 in the size of the bus flew at record short distance from the Earth over the South Pacific. This celestial body flew near the planet at a distance of just under 400 kilometers, it passed through the sphere of geostationary satellites and touched the ring of low Earth orbit. However, the satellite and the ISS, which were over the South Atlantic, were not affected.
