In 2022, two increases in the subsistence level for Ukrainians are planned – in July and December .

Thus, from January 1, 2022, the subsistence level per person per month is set at 2,393 hryvnias – that is, the amount has not changed since December 2021.
The increase, according to the budget, is expected from July 1 – to 2508 hryvnias, and from December 1 – 2589 hryvnias.
From July 1, the subsistence level for children under 6 years of age will be 2,201 hryvnias, and from December 1, 2,272 hryvnias. Children aged 6 to 18: expected to increase from July to 2744 hryvnias, and from December – to 2833 hryvnias.
The subsistence level for people who have lost their ability to work will be 2,027 hryvnias from July 1, and 2,093 hryvnias from December 1.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the 2022 Budget on December 2, and on December 10 the Law was signed by the President.
Compared to the first reading, state budget revenues increased by UAH 54.7 billion and amounted to UAH 1 trillion 322 billion. Expenditures increased by UAH 55.7 billion and are set at UAH 1 trillion 521 billion.
Within the framework of cooperation with the IMF, the marginal budget deficit is set at 3.5% of GDP, namely UAH 188.798 billion.
The budget, according to the government and parliament, also provided for:
- consumer price index – 6.2% (December to December of the previous year)
- subsistence level – from January 1 – UAH 2,393, from July 1 – UAH 2,508, from December 1 – UAH 2,589
- minimum wage – from January 1 – UAH 6,500, from October 1 – UAH 6,700
- average monthly salary – UAH 15,258
- unemployment rate of the population aged 15-70 according to the ILO methodology, to the economically active population – 8.5%
- exports of goods and services – 6.5% yoy
- imports of goods and services – 9.2% yoy
- hryvnia exchange rate against the US dollar – 28.6 / 28.7 average / at the end of the year.
