The chief sanitary doctor says that the experience of other countries where such vaccinations are already carried out shows that it is safe. “That thanks to covid vaccination prevents premature death, especially against the background of severe somatic diseases. Prevents outbreaks in organized groups,” he said.
At the same time, according to Kuzin, there have been no recommendations from the European Technical Group of Experts on vaccination of children over 5 years of age. “That is, such an issue was not considered at the European level,” the official said.
Kuzin also said that in Ukraine “about 140 thousand children aged 12 to 18 have already been vaccinated.”
“The frequency of adverse events after immunization of children is not higher than among adults. That is, nothing unusual has been registered,” he added.
“If a child has concomitant infusions – onco, asthma, cardiovascular, I would recommend vaccination. Because the course of covid in such a child can be difficult. If the child is healthy, the decision will depend on how often this child attends organized groups “, – the chief sanlikar noted.

In Ukraine, children over the age of 12 can be vaccinated against COVID-19 with Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer / BioNTech, provided they have all the required routine vaccinations. Relevant recommendations were developed by the National Technical Group of Experts on Immunoprophylaxis and approved by the Ministry of Health by its order of October 13, 2021.
From November, you can generate a COVID certificate for children from 12 years of age in the “Action” application.
On January 10, it became known that in Ukraine they want to give “one thousand for vaccination” – payments of 1 thousand UAH under the “eSupport” program – for children aged 12-18 who have completed a full course of vaccination against COVID-19. The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to prepare a separate program on January 10.
In addition, 14 million Ukrainians were vaccinated with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
