Due to lack of credit funds from international financial organizations, at least $ 3 billion is missing in the state budget for the current year. This statement was made on the air of the program “Right to Power” by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko.
“Let’s go back to borrowing and remember that our budget, which was adopted by the (Verkhovna Rada) in April, when I was just appointed Minister of Finance, provided for the receipt of funds from international financial organizations in the amount of more than 6 billion dollars. So far, we haven’t actually received more than $ 3 billion for various reasons. In particular, due to the non-adoption of laws in time and due to the decisions of judges, ”Marchenko said.
It should be noted that Marchenko stated that by the end of the year the state budget revenues will be exceeded by 10 billion hryvnias.
It will be recalled that on November 26, at an extraordinary meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the final draft of the 2021 Budget.
Earlier this morning, it became known that the Ministry of Finance has completed negotiations with the International Monetary Fund on the draft State Budget for 2021.
Yaroslav Zheleznyak, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy , said in a comment to UNN that the draft State Budget for 2021 would be submitted to parliament for a second reading by the end of this week.
