Recently, however, there has been a trend to consume only protein, throwing out the yolk, because it contains a large amount of cholesterol, fat and sodium. For this reason, many people who do sports and try to eat right, decide to limit the consumption of this product or throw out the yolk. However, doing so, a person deprives himself of most of the useful components, because their distribution on the egg is uneven. It is the yolk that contains all the nutrients, and in the white part of the egg their presence is much lower, limited mainly to protein.
Doctors note that if a person regularly exercises and follows a healthy diet, he does not need to delete eggs from the diet, because cholesterol and fat levels will be normal. These substances are necessary for everyone, regardless of whether they are trying to lose weight or gain muscle mass. Cholesterol is involved in the production of testosterone, which helps increase energy and muscle mass, as well as vitamin D, which is essential for bone health. Fat is needed so as not to freeze and stay full longer.
If a person eats 8 egg whites, the body will receive 28 g of protein, 2 g of carbohydrates and 0 g of fat. Their caloric content is 137 kcal. If you consume 4 whole eggs, a person will saturate his body with the same amount of protein and carbohydrates, while he will consume 21 g of fat and calories will be equal to 312 kcal. For this reason, it is better to eat one or two whole eggs to get all the necessary nutrients than just protein, depriving the dish of half of its nutritional value. And cholesterol levels should be prevented by eliminating other clearly unhealthy foods
