The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmygal, has stated that the government no longer plans to introduce “total lockdowns” in Ukraine.
On January 20, the Ministry of Health noted a new outbreak with the epicenter in western Ukraine.
The Ministry of Health said that in the coming weeks Ukraine will reach the peak incidence of COVID-19 during the current wave. The number of cases of infection is expected at 40-60 thousand people per day.
In total, 4 million patients with coronavirus have been registered in Ukraine. Last day, January 28, 37,351 new cases of infection were detected – a new anti-record since the beginning of the pandemic.
