“Another variant of the virus is“ Omicron. ”What a feature of this“ Omicron ”we already see. If “Delta” gave a very rapid outbreak of diseases and captured the children’s population, “Omicron” does the same, only faster and larger due to the fact that it avoids immunity, both natural and artificial, and everyone gets sick – vaccinated, unvaccinated, who fell ill, ”Golubovska said.

According to her, another feature of Omicron is that children, in particular, young children, have become even sicker.
“Children have been in critical condition for ten days. But in general, “Omicron” so far, according to world data, gives less mortality than even “Delta”. “Delta gave less mortality than previous versions. Unfortunately, this is not very important for our country,” she said.
Golubovska reminded that the autumn wave in Ukraine was very tense.
“Due to the fact that (Omicron – ed.) Will capture huge sections of the population, intensive care units will be overcrowded, wards will be overcrowded, but due to the total number of patients mortality will be lower,” said Golubovska.
