SES officers warned of a significant avalanche danger in the Carpathians from January 28 to 30.

“On January 28-30, due to snowfalls and blizzards in the highlands of Zakarpattia region and in the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions, there will be a significant avalanche danger (level 3),” the statement said.
Rescuers urged vacationers to refrain from hiking in the mountains and follow the rules of personal safety.
