The Council has decided on the annual indexation of pensions: it will affect the military and civil servants .
The Verkhovna Rada approved the improvement of pension legislation, in particular, decided on the annual indexation of pensions for military and civil servants .

The draft law was developed in order to address at the legislative level issues related to, in particular, determining the date of annual indexation of pensions; indexation of pensions granted to servicemen, persons and members of their families equated to them; early retirement; ensuring the right to retirement of persons with disabilities, including children with disabilities, as well as persons entitled to a pension in connection with the loss of a breadwinner.
The law proposes:
determine the date of annual indexation of pensions – March 1;
to carry out annual indexation of pensions for servicemen, civil servants and other categories of pensioners on general terms;
to assign early old-age pensions one and a half years before reaching the retirement age to persons whose employment contract has been terminated due to changes in the organization of production and other conditions;
to assign early pensions to mothers (fathers) of children with severe, rare diseases who have not been diagnosed with a disability;
increase the age threshold for identifying a child with a disability from childhood from 16 to 18 years;
establish that incapable family members are also considered husband (wife), father, mother, if they have reached the age of 65;
eliminate the difference in the amount of allowances for the same duration of later retirement, which currently in some cases differs several times depending on the time of retirement (before or after 2004).
