More than half of Ukrainians surveyed believe that the main goal of Russian President Vladimir Putin is to completely destroy the people of Ukraine. This is evidenced by the results of a poll by the sociological group “Rating” .

56% of respondents believe that the main goal of Russia’s invasion is the complete destruction of the Ukrainian people. This opinion prevails in all regions of Ukraine.
Another half believe that the goal of the attack is to occupy Ukraine and join Russia.
Only 15-17% think that Russia wants to change Ukraine’s political course or prevent the deployment of NATO bases, 10% believe that the motive is the destruction of military infrastructure, 5% – provoking NATO to war.
Those who believe that the Russian invasion was aimed at protecting Russian-speakers – only 2%.
