Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – March 17, 2022- German Chancellor Olaf Schulz and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met in Berlin on Thursday to discuss two main topics, the security situation in Ukraine and the NATO summit.
There is still hope for a possible ceasefire and the Russian attack on Ukraine
The German Prime Minister said that he will do everything possible to stop the hostilities carried out by the Russian aggression against Ukrainian civilians, and that everyone will continue to support Ukraine.
He stressed that the alliance should focus on ensuring the security of all its members, and that Germany had increased its defense budget significantly, and agreed to allocate one hundred billion euros to the Bundeswehr.
He also stressed that NATO is responsible for ensuring that the war does not spread, and Stoltenberg praised Berlin for its decision to adopt the latest F-35 aircraft, describing it as a turning point for Europe.
