For Ukraine, strategic relations with Western partners are extremely important, and some statements by the Deputy Head of the President’s Office Oleg Tatarov are caused by pressure on him recently.
Adviser to the head of the OP, Mikhail Podolyak, said this in a comment to Ukrinform regarding Tatarov’s statement about his intention to “promote the policy of reducing the influence of external control in Ukraine.”
“We have excellent strategic relations with our Western partners, which allow the country to feel confident in a competitive global world. For us, these relations are extremely important, which was repeatedly publicly emphasized by President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Podolyak said.
On the other hand, he added, undoubtedly, in recent days the deputy head of the OPU Oleg Tatarov has been under serious and systemic psychological pressure.
“The reasons for this are clear. Such pressure, including direct aggressive pickets and rallies under the walls of the OPU, provoked somewhat confusing and ambiguous statements from Oleg Yuryevich. Therefore, we officially want to assure everyone that under the term “external instructions” Mr. Tatarov did not mean economic relations through the IMF or the World Bank, but only the role-playing games of our near-political “businessmen” who pay for such incriminating campaigns, often using their own monopoly on the media and staying in the shadows,” Podolyak stressed.
Tatarov on December 4, commenting on the picket near the President’s Office demanding his resignation, said that it was organized by representatives of anti-Ukrainian forces, and said that he would continue “at all levels to promote the policy of reducing the influence of structures and organizations trying to organize external control in our country.”…
