Ukraine, Ukraine gate- March 26, 2022- The website of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) published an official statement containing the suspension of its cooperation with Russia and Belarus regarding the armed conflict launched by the Kremlin and with the support of the Belarusian regime against Ukraine, and this decision was in response to Russia’s war on Ukraine.
The organization has suspended the participation of its scientists in the scientific committees of the institutions of the two countries, has also canceled cooperation programs, suspended the possibility of appointing representatives from Russia and Belarus as associate members of the European Organization for Nuclear Research, and has also taken decisions to cut off contacts with the institutions of the two countries.
As reported, the countries of the European Organization condemn the actions of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the statements of Russian institutions that have expressed their support for the illegal invasion of Ukraine.
This organization is the world’s largest laboratory for high energy physics, the international research center of the European Community, and about 12,000 researchers from 80 countries around the world work on its experimental equipment.
