Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – April 6, 2022- The war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine is entering a critical phase. NATO allies stand ready to provide Kyiv with the necessary assistance to counter the likely next attack by the invaders.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the start of the meeting of the Alliance’s Council of Foreign Ministers.
“We are now in a critical phase of the war. We have seen Russia move troops from the north to reinforce and regroup and send them further east. We expect a dangerous offensive. President Putin’s goal is to try to take control of the whole Donbass and establish a land corridor to Crimea.
There is no sign that President Putin has abandoned his ambitions of taking control of all of Ukraine or giving up his intention to rewrite the international order,” the NATO chief said.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will take part in the NATO ministerial meeting. And it will be a good opportunity to get information about the situation in Ukraine and the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces, Stoltenberg stressed.
