Asked by a journalist whether Duda considered the Bucha killings to be genocide, the Polish president said it was difficult to disagree.
“The purpose of this invasion is to destroy the Ukrainian nation,” Duda said.
He noted that the death of a large number of civilians testifies to Moscow’s intentions.
Duda believes that the West should end the dialogue with Putin.
“We have always heard that we need to talk to Russia. But dialogue with Russia does not make sense – Putin needs to set tough conditions. I must say that if he does not meet these conditions, we will have nothing to talk about,” he said.
