The day before, Trass left for The Hague with Piotr Hoffman, chairman of the International Criminal Court, and Wopke Gustra, deputy prime minister of the Netherlands.
The UK Foreign Office says a team of experts will assist the Ukrainian government in gathering evidence and prosecuting war crimes, as well as involve sexual violence specialists.
