By abolishing the tax on gasoline, the state was deprived of tens of billions of hryvnias in revenue, but as a result, this decision did not lead to a stabilization of fuel prices. However, conclusions have already been drawn ,

When asked when the shortage of gasoline at the gas station will end, the People’s Deputy sent to the Ministry of Economy, but shared his vision of the process.
Quote
“We could be effective in this area. It is obvious that the abolition of gasoline taxes has deprived the state of revenues and has not led to price stabilization, due to the deficit, the black fuel market and rising oil prices. Obviously, in a situation of such uncertainty, the abolition of taxes could not solve any problem. Today, no one cares what the price is – just the opportunity to refuel. But I think they (the Ministry of Economy – ed.) Have drawn conclusions and will take action now. I know that they are working on it, “he said, adding that the prime minister had taken the situation under personal control.
Hetmantsev does not rule out the projected increase in prices in the future, suggests that the cost of gasoline may exceed 45 UAH per liter and jump to 50.
“In the conditions of deficit… what I offered to do – I offered to work with state interventions. That is, to buy fuel, and through refueling at a fixed price to sell it in such a way as to saturate demand. Taking on the state some part of the price and stabilize the price. This is a very complex process, time consuming. This is a much more complex process than the linear abolition of taxes. Everything needs to be controlled every minute, “said the people’s deputy.
He adds that “this is the only effective and correct way in a military economy.”
“It simply came to our notice then. As far as I know, it is being implemented now. It’s just that the state has less money, “he added.
Hetmantsev also touched upon the import of gasoline across the western border. According to him, now it has a large number of vital goods due to queues formed due to the desire of some citizens to get a car from Europe.
“When the Poles saw these cars, they said, ‘You are brazen,'” he said.

“At the moment we have gasoline waiting in line for three days. They (Poles – ed.) Say: “No, we will not do anything – we can not do anything by law. We made an exception for you, but to ask us for money, and at the same time to import cars with our own money, so what are you ?! How does it all fit in your head? ” he explained.
Let’s add
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision on state regulation of prices for petroleum products, which will resolve the issue of fuel shortage at gas stations within 7 days.
Meanwhile, there is a shortage of fuel at the capital’s gas stations – people are queuing for kilometers.
