Ukraine has received official approval from COVAX for a request for a vaccine against COVID-19.
The chief medical officer of the country Viktor Lyashko wrote about this on Facebook.
” Now, in addition to the planned purchases of the vaccine for budgetary funds, Ukraine will already receive 100% more than 8 million doses of the vaccine free of charge. Syringes for injections as well,” Lyashko explained.
He noted that now in Ukraine they continue to work on the import of the necessary refrigeration equipment “in the shortest possible time.”
The state enterprise “Ukrvaktsina” and private companies will be involved in the logistics process to provide access to equipment for ultra-cold storage: with a temperature regime of -60 / -80 degrees Celsius.
