The farewell ceremony with Leonid Kravchuk took place in the premises of the National Center “Ukrainian House”.
The former President of Ukraine will be buried in the Baykovo Cemetery in Kyiv.

Leonid Kravchuk died on May 10, 2022. Under his chairmanship, on August 24, 1991, the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR adopted the Act of Independence of Ukraine.
On December 1, 1991, Leonid Kravchuk was elected President of Ukraine, a position he held until 1994.
On December 8, 1991, he became one of the signatories of the Bialowieza Agreement, which stated the termination of the USSR.
In 1990, 1994, 1998 and 2002, Leonid Kravchuk was elected People’s Deputy of Ukraine.
