Despite the war started by Russia, 95.9% of the planned territories in Kyiv region have been sown. The chairman of the Kiev regional state administration Alexey Kuleba reported about it .

“Despite the Russian aggression, 95.9% of all projected sown areas have been sown in the region,” Kuleba wrote.
Details
According to him, 620.21 thousand hectares of land are sown:
· Spring barley – 41.25 thousand hectares (99.4% of the planned),
· Spring rape – 6.24 thousand hectares (90.4% of the planned),
· Oats – 2.71 thousand hectares (97.5% of the planned),
· Peas – 3.55 thousand hectares (93.9% of the planned),
· Corn – 249.72 thousand hectares (95.3% of the planned),
· Sunflower – 169.48 thousand hectares (96.2% of the planned).
“Despite a number of challenges, such as the lack of fuel and mineral fertilizers, and the large amount of land that has been mined, farmers understand the importance of their work and continue to work for victory,” Kuleba said.
He noted that due to the fields mined by the Russians, agricultural testing is much more difficult, so it is important to ensure safe working conditions for farmers, especially in the occupied territories of Kyiv region.
Addition
On May 20, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal reported that Ukrainian farmers had managed to sow more than 10 million hectares of spring crops.
This year, Ukraine sowed 25-30% fewer crops than last year. According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solsky, the amount of spring corn has been reduced, and due to problems with logistics, fuel and machinery, farmers are switching to sowing cheaper crops.
