Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – May 31, 2022- Referring to the State Customs Service, Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy announced that the country had exported more than 46.9 million tons of grain and legumes, of which 1.06 million tons as of May 30.
Since the beginning of 2021/22, Ukraine has exported 46.93 million tons of grain and legumes, of which in May – 1.06 million tons, including:
- Wheat – 18.56 million tons (May – 42 thousand tons).
- Barley – 5.68 million tons (11 thousand tons).
- Rye – 161.9 thousand tons (not shipped in May).
- Corn – 22.22 million tons (1.0 million tons).
It is also noted that since the beginning of the marketing year, 71.0 thousand tons of flour (May – 1.4 thousand tons) were exported, including wheat – 69.4 thousand tons (1.3 thousand tons).
As at least half a million tons of grain have been stolen from the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory and they are looking for ways to sell it illegally, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy has expressed concerns that the Russians may steal a new crop of winter crops, and Ukraine is constantly discussing the issue of exporting Its crops are transferred to other countries with the United Nations, European Union, United Kingdom, United States and grain importing countries.
