Prime Minister Denis Shmygal confirmed that it is difficult for him to find the necessary professionals and complained about the shortage of personnel in Ukraine.
“I confirm there is a shortage of personnel,” the head of the government said, because according to Shmygal, such qualities as professionalism and decency are not enough.
“What is the government’s personnel policy today? There are banal words: professional and decent. But there are several more parameters that you need to rely on when you select personnel today: non-engagement and efficiency,” the prime minister said.
“I want faster legislative changes, I want to change the regulations faster, I want to accelerate these reforms, and get visible results faster,” he added.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about staff shortages at a press conference following the first year of his presidency in May. It was with this that he explained that at that time a number of ministerial posts remained vacant.
In June, during a meeting with educators, Zelensky expressed confidence that the problem of staff shortages in Ukraine should be addressed by higher education institutions.
